For those who have not yet checked out this remarkable television series, here is your chance to hit the ground running. “Warehouse 13” returns for its 2nd season on Tuesday, July 6th and picks up right where the first season left off.
Starring Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek, and Allison Scagliotti as the special government team assigned with protecting a warehouse full of unique artifacts, the show focuses on how they track down famous artifacts of history, such as Lewis Carroll’s mirror, Sylvia Plath’s typewriter, Edgar Allen Poe’s quill pen and notebook, Jack the Ripper’s lantern, Timothy Leary’s glasses, and John Dillinger’s pistol — each which has mystical abilities.
Using some of the recovered artifacts, such as the Tesla gun and the Farnsworth communication devices, our intrepid agents tackle both the search for missing artifacts lost in time and scattered around the globe, while simultaneously protecting the artifacts recovered in the vaults of the massive warehouse hidden in the Badlands of North Dakota.
Our heroes include Special Agents Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering, along with their mentor Artie Nielsen and new recruit Claudia Donovan. When last seen Pete and Myka were trapped in the warehouse rigged to explode, Artie was caught in an explosion, and Claudia had runaway after being falsely accused with stealing and selling artifacts from the warehouse. However, all of this was the result of a vengeful and twisted arch-enemy of Artie’s, a disgraced former Warehouse agent James MacPherson, who wanted to make them all suffer for his perceived wrongs. He also wanted to steal the most valuable and useful of the artifacts for his own personal gain.
So the second season will reveal the ultimate fates of Pete, Myka, Artie and Claudia and the search for James MacPherson will begin. Undoubtedly more mischievous and dangerous artifacts will be featured prominently as well. But no matter where the journey leads, the adventure promises to be rip-roaring fun with a few hiccups from the artifacts which seem to have a mind of their own at times.
