From Los Angeles to San Diego, Hollywood’s annual trek to Comic-Con is mere weeks away

As anyone from Los Angeles knows, there is no bigger event which Tinseltown caters to than Comic-Con — which provides over 500,000 captive eyeballs over the course of the five day convention. Despite recent discussions being held as to the fate of the convention and whether it will relocate to Los Angeles in 2013, this year the studios, stars and fans are still converging upon San Diego July 21 through July 25.

With just over one month to go before the massive extravaganza unveils in San Diego, preliminary reports are popping up regarding which television shows will be making appearances. While the official schedule will not be announced until early July, studios anxious to whip the fans into a frenzy have leaked which of their biggest genre and non-genre shows will be featured. With entertainment bloggers from the Chicago Tribune’s Mo Ryan to Seat4f and The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed breaking the news, here is a list of Hollywood’s hottest television shows hosting panels at Comic-con 2010: Bones, Burn Notice, Castle, Chuck, Community, Dexter, Eureka, Fringe, Glee, Hawaii Five-O, Human Target, Mythbusters, Nikita, No Ordinary Family, Psych, Smallville, Sons of Anarchy, Spartacus Blood and Sand, Supernatural, Terra Nova, The Big Bang Theory, The Cape, The Cleveland Show, The Event, The Walking Dead, True Blood, Unnatural History, V, Vampire Diaries, Warehouse 13, White Collar.

If you have ever wanted the opportunity to see the stars of your favorite TV shows or to get a sneak peek at the next big television series months before it debuts, then Comic-Con may be the event you should be planning your next vacation around. But not this year, unfortunately, as tickets sold out over six months ago. However, it is not too early to be planning towards Comic-Con 2011 which will surely be as enticing and a guaranteed must-attend event. If you are thinking of attending in 2011, look for tickets to go on sale in mid-September 2010.

If you are amongst the lucky few with tickets this year, then it is time to get out pen and paper and start working on what television shows are on your must-see list. Hollywood will not only provide a non-stop stream of stars and other talent, there will be goodies and freebies galore.

It is guaranteed to be a fun time for all — unless you are still looking for a hotel room which were in short supply this year due to double-booking of another convention. This oversight has sparked much controversy and has led many attendees to join in the lobbying for Comic-Con to relocate to Los Angeles. A decision is still pending on the fate of Comic-Con, but an announcement is expected shortly.
