Reminder re: “National Doodle Day” (2010)

In honor of “National Doodle Day” a collection of extraordinary individuals have donated their time and creative abilities to raise awareness and funds for this worthy event to help find a cure for neurofibromatosis (NF).  More than 1 in 2,500 children are born with neurofibromatosis and are currently suffering from its debilitating effects.  But on May 13th, a special auction will be hosted to benefit “National Doodle Day” and finding a cure for NF.  The auction will continue for 10 days, through May 23rd, so there will be ample time to participate and win the doodle of your choice.  Previews of the “doodles” can be seen at: www.doodledayusa.org/gallery/v/2010

Check back daily to see which new doodles have been collected for the auction from your favorite entertainers.

Just a few of those committed to helping are: Cory Monteith (“Glee”), Kristoffer Polaha (“Life Unexpected”), Elizabeth Mitchell (“V”), Kal Penn (“House”), Lizzy Caplan (“Party Down”), Gillian Anderson (“X-Files”), Melissa Joan Hart (“Melissa and Joey”), Tim Daly (“Private Practice”), Amy Poehler (“Parks and Recreation”), Matthew Perry (“Friends”), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“The Adventures of the New Christine”), Jason Alexander (“Seinfeld”), Doris Roberts (“Everybody Loves Raymond”), and Tim Allen (“Home Improvement”).  Many more notable and amazing entertainers are providing generous contributions to this special cause.

If you want to know more about “National Doodle Day” and NF, please be sure to visit: www.nfinc.org.

This is a wonderful opportunity to share in an event that will not only raise money for a cure, it invites us all to inspire a new generation of children to aspire to be artists and to live their lives dreaming of more than a life defined by NF.  You are invited to share in their dream.  Be bold, be generous and be a part of a special event.  All children deserve to live their dreams.

  1. Matthew Perry did kiss Doris Roberts! Wow! Perry is the distant cousin of Omaha hero, Gary Michael Joy!
